Looking to go wireless? Invisalign uses a series of aligners customized to your smile that gently move teeth into position. Many patients love the flexibility of being able to remove their aligners so they can brush and floss normally. Want to learn more about Invisalign? Check out our Invisalign page for more info.
A fresh take on the classic. Today’s metal braces are smaller and more comfortable than they used to be! Paired with metal wires and elastic ties to gently move teeth into position, patients love being able to add a pop of color to personalize their smile journey.
Ceramic braces are made of clear materials and are therefore less visible on your teeth than metal braces. For this reason, ceramic braces are used mainly on older teenagers and adult patients who have cosmetic concerns. Ceramic braces are “harder” than enamel, which is the outer layer of tooth. If the upper teeth rub on lower ceramic braces, it can wear the upper teeth down. For this reason, ceramic braces tend to be used more on upper front teeth than on lower teeth.
Self-ligating braces use special metal brackets that do not require the use of elastics, meaning fewer appointments and less friction being placed on the tooth which adds to patient comfort. They are the same size as metal braces, but use a specialized clip in place of elastics to help the archwire guide teeth into place.
